This is your community... and your United Way.  A powerful way to strengthen your community is through United Way. For people who need a helping hand, United Way is a lifeline.

Our environment is changing rapidly. As our community grows, so do the needs of individuals and families.

United Way of Rutherford County is responding to these changes... adjusting the way it does business to maximize the results of your contribution.

Traditionally, United Way has granted dollars to health and human services agencies based upon their efficiency and effectiveness. Now, its new community investment strategy empowers United Way and its volunteers to also target the most pressing needs in our community, identifying the most desirable results for each impact area.

United Way's member agencies receive funding based upon their ability to address these impact areas and achieve measurable, effective results.

How do you change lives?

United Way of Rutherford County changes lives throughout our county. We do this by a community-wide fundraising campaign, identifying long term needs, funding programs that meet those needs and providing donors with real results that show how we are "Making a Difference."

Identifying Needs
The needs facing our community are not necessarily the ones we will face tomorrow. UWRC currently supports 35 programs and agencies that address identified, long-term and emerging needs in our community.

United Way is much more than a fundraiser; we help build stronger, healthier communities.
